Harrington Square Apartment Building Fire Determined to be Accidental
Fire investigators have determined that the June 30, 2009, Harrington Square apartment fire was started as a result of work being done on the roof of the building earlier in the day. Read more.

Renton Farmers Market Open Tuesdays Through September 15
The Renton Farmers Market at the Piazza begins its eighth year offering fresh flowers, fruits and vegetables and a variety of other food vendors located at the Piazza Park on 3rd and Burnett downtown.
The market is open every Tuesday from 3 to 7 p.m. June 2 through September 15.
Market fans can sign up for weekly emails with recipes, shopping guides, and events at rentonfarmersmarket.com or contact the Farmers Market coordinator at 425-430-7214.
Summer Fest 2009
Local playgrounds will be alive this summer with special activities, creative crafts, great games and events just for kids, ages six to 12. For more information.
Free Summer Lunch
There are community sites where a child can go to get a free lunch, regardless of where they live and family income level. There is no registration required. Lunch must be eaten onsite. For more information.
Return to Renton Cruise-In, Sunday
Cruise back in time and check out classic vehicles at the 19th Annual Return to Renton Benefit Car Show. Show begins July 12th at 10:00am and awards presented at 3:00pm. Storage capacity at Howard Hanson Dam temporarily restricted
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Seattle District, announces that storage capacity at Howard Hanson Dam will be temporarily restricted to safely continue the process of evaluating damage on the right abutment discovered following a recent high flood control pool at the dam. Read more

Cedar River Access Trail
Seattle Public Utilities (SPU) is developing an access trail to the Cedar River upstream of I-405, across from Renton’s Cedar River Park. The trail will function as a public access to the Cedar River. Read More.
