Renton voters to determine future of libraries
Renton residents care about their library services and use them regularly. Providing quality, financially sustainable library services to residents is a City priority. Renton voters will be asked on the February 9, 2010 ballot whether to annex to the King County Library System (KCLS). Revised annexation FAQ's. Library Master Plan.

Traffic delays on Benson Road

February 4th – 12th, the I-405 Renton construction crew will be setting girders for the new Benson Road bridge over I-405. There will be heightened construction activity, visible and potentially distracting to the public. Benson Road will be closed the nights of Feb. 4th and Feb 9th. Read more.
Online Donations Site!
The public is encouraged to join with City of Renton employees to collect food and other donations for the Salvation Army Renton Rotary Food Bank and the Emergency Feeding Program of Seattle and King County. Storage capacity at Howard Hanson Dam temporarily restricted
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Seattle District, announces that storage capacity at Howard Hanson Dam will be temporarily restricted to safely continue the process of evaluating damage on the right abutment discovered following a recent high flood control pool at the dam. Renton Launches New Emergency Notification System
The CodeRed™ system provides city officials with the ability to provide pre-recorded emergency telephone notification/information messages to targeted areas or the entire city. Residents and businesses located within the city limits are encouraged to sign up for CodeRed™ to be sure they receive timely emergency notifications when alerts are issued. Read more.
Online Court Payments
Renton Municipal Court is now accepting online payments for traffic infractions, fines, fees and other costs. Visa and MasterCard debit or credit cards as well as e-checks will be accepted. Read more.
